WHITES
‘07 Mapema Sauvignon Blanc – Mendoza, Argentina
Enticing aromas of lemon, red grapefruit, honeydew and fresh herbs.
Vibrant citrus flavors with zesty acidity and a slight creamy texture.
92% of the juice was fermented in stainless steel and the other 8%
was aged for 3 months in second-use French oak. Pairs up nicely with
grilled tuna, seared scallops or lighter chicken dishes.
‘06 Urban
Riesling – Mosel, Germany
The Mosel is renowned for its outstanding vineyard sites. The solubility
of the soil allows the vine roots to take up mineral nutrients quickly.
As a result, the wines of St. Urbanshof are especially lively and
minerally in character. Floral in the nose, vibrant fruit on the
palate and just the right amount of residual sugar makes this wine
the perfect pairing for a Thanksgiving turkey or a sweet & spicy dish.
REDS
’04 Sojo Shiraz – Swartland, South Africa
Located on the West Coast of South Africa, the days are warm and
sunny while the breezes from the Atlantic Ocean cool the nights to
create the perfect grape growing conditions. Medium bodied with wild
berries and spices on the nose. Flavors of red raspberry, black pepper
and a touch of smoke and a long finish of soft tannin.
’04 Terra De
Lobos Castelo & Cabernet Sauvignon – Ribatejano, Portugal
A floral perfume and berry spice nose. Soft, red flavors of strawberry
and red currants with a touch of earth. This wine should be consumed
young with meat, pasta or a spicy fish dish.
